Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds baby red potatoes halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt plus additional if desired
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste

Instructions

  • Set oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Add the potatoes and olive oil to a large mixing bowl and toss to coat.
  • Combine all the spices in a separate small bowl and pour over the potatoes. Stir until potatoes are evenly coated with the spice mixture and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes, stirring about every 15 minutes, until potatoes are fork-tender and golden brown.
  • Taste and season with additional salt, only if needed.
