Peach Frozen Yogurt

Skip the frozen yogurt shop and make your own Peach Frozen Yogurt at home with just four ingredients! It's fresh, super creamy and totally delicious.

Ingredients

  • 4 large fresh peaches peeled and pitted (see Notes below if using frozen peaches)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cups 2% or whole plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Cut three of the peeled, pitted peaches into large chunks and place them in the bowl of a food processor with the sugar. Pulse until completely smooth. Add the Greek yogurt and vanilla. Pulse again until well combined. Transfer the yogurt mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
  • Meanwhile, dice the remaining peach and add to yogurt as it's processing, about 5 minutes before the end of the recommended freezing time. Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight freezer-safe container. Press wax paper or parchment paper over the surface of the frozen yogurt and cover the container with the lid or foil and transfer to the freezer.

Freezing/Serving Tips

  • Frozen yogurt will be soft-serve consistency if served immediately after processing. If frozen, it will firm up more. To soften, allow to sit out for 10 to 15 minutes before scooping and serving.

Notes

Yields approximately 1 quart.
 
Using Frozen Peaches
You can substitute 5 to 6 cups of sliced frozen peaches for the fresh peaches. If still frozen, puree them all with the yogurt in first step of the recipe. If you'd like to add some diced peaches at the end, allow them to thaw slightly so they are easy to chop before adding to the ice cream maker.
