• Pizza crust dough store bought or homemade (see my recipe here∞)
• 1 pound lean ground beef
• 1/2 cup diced onion
• 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
• 2 teaspoons minced garlic
• 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
• fresh ground pepper to taste
• 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
• 1 cup prepared pizza sauce
• 1 8 ounce package fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced
• 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Coat a 16" x 12" rimmed baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Roll out the pizza crust dough and pat it down, shaping it so that it fits right up to the edges of the pan. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and reduce oven temperature to 400 degrees.

2. Meanwhile, coat a large frying pan with non-stick cooking spray. Cook the ground beef over medium heat, crushing it against the pan with a large spoon, until fully cooked and no pink remains. Drain as much of the grease from the pan as possible. Return the pan to the stove and add salt and pepper to taste. Add onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic. Add barbecue sauce. Combine well and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat. Remove from heat.
3. Pour the pizza sauce on to the parbaked crust, spreading it to the edges with a pastry brush or the back of a spoon. Spoon the cooked beef mixture evenly over the top. Tear the slices of mozzarella into small pieces and place evenly over the beef mixture. Sprinkle with the cheddar cheese.
4. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes or till cheeses are melted and bubbly. Remove from oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
