Meet Valerie
Hi, I’m Valerie Brunmeier, the author, recipe developer, and chief cook behind Valerie’s Kitchen. I’m also wife to my amazingly supportive husband, Paul, and mom to four great guys. I was born and raised in Northern California and now call Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley home. Our big family has grown even larger and now includes my sons’ wonderful partners and two grandsons we absolutely adore.

I’m the youngest of six, and my mom taught all of us to cook. She remains my biggest inspiration, both in the kitchen and in life. Her influence is why I get excited about things like kitchen gadgets, freezer meals (thrilling!), baking from scratch, planning holiday menus, and hosting big family gatherings. Most importantly, she taught me her practical approach to cooking wholesome meals that appeal to all ages.
