Grillin’ Bold this Memorial Day? Bush’s has the beans for it. Come join the cookout with Cookin’ Canuck and Hoosier Homemade sponsored by Bush’s Grillin’ Beans. Since the three day weekend is fast approaching, I thought it was time to revisit one of my earliest posts. Here you go…
We are all still adjusting to the back to school schedule around here which makes the timing of Labor Day weekend so perfect. The kids will have one more opportunity for a lazy Monday morning. I’m already planning on several cups of coffee and will read the entire newspaper, front to back. Total luxury! I can’t believe the things I get excited about these days. It’s a sad state of affairs. I also plan to pull out a classic summer menu and take advantage of the beautiful weather we inevitably get as soon as soon as the kids return to school.
This is my favorite, go to, easy, peasy, steak marinade. I’ve tried bunches of them but always end up using this one over and over again.
I like sirloin best for this. Cut your steak into 3” to 4” inch pieces before marinating so that each serving will be nicely coated with marinade before grilling.
Put the pieces of sirloin into a zippered plastic storage bag and pour the marinade over. Close it up and move the bag around to distribute the marinade evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Grill ‘em! Just 5-7 minutes per side, depending on thickness.
Serve the steak along side your favorite barbecue side dishes. Add some Bush’s Steakhouse Recipe Grillin’ Beans for the perfect summer barbecue meal!
Grilled Steak Marinade
Serves 6-8
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup Italian salad dressing- your favorite brand
- 1 teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 to 3 pounds boneless top sirloin steak
Directions:
Slice sirloin into 3” to 4” pieces and put them inside a gallon sized zippered plastic storage bag.
Mix together remaining ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Pour marinade over sirloin in storage bag and seal. Move bag around to distribute marinade evenly. Refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours.
Remove steak from marinade and grill for 5 to 7 minutes each side. Discard remaining marinade.
